The Finer Details

Church Farm House is a wonderfully characterful village property in rural Oxfordshire.

With five bedrooms in the main house and one further sleeping space - with bathroom - in an adjacent annex, it is the perfect size for a family break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. There are lovely outside spaces - a great mix of lawn, patio and re-wilded zones that are superb for exploring - as well as a stunning kitchen/dining area inside with vaulted ceiling and views over the garden to the fields beyond. Inside you'll also find a comfortable sitting room, good-sized family/playspace and a fully equipped laundry with drying area too.

Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms on the first floor along with
one bathroom
two more doubles on the second floor with a second bathroom.

The house is just as beautiful as the pictures suggest, and is surrounded by serene Oxfordshire countryside, with many footpaths reachable on foot. Despite the very rural feel it's only 10 minutes to the shops in Witney and 25 minutes to the fantastic museums of Oxford. As well as visits to the Ashmolean, Pitt Rivers and Natural history museum, we really enjoyed Cogges manor farm, Minster Lovell and North Leigh Roman villa. The house is superbly well set up for children with a Wendy house in the large fully enclosed garden and lots of outdoor games such as swing ball and soft archery, indoor entertainment for young children such as magnatiles, Brillo train set and lots of stories and board games. Our 2 and 4 year olds had an absolute blast. We felt really at home in the house, which is beautifully decorated and well appointed with comfortable beds and large island kitchen with two dish washers and espresso maker. Overall we had a fantastic week and would not hesitate to return.

A stunning location

North Leigh

The area surrounding the house is rural while not being remote; the market town of Witney is only a few miles down the road for your shopping needs while a day out among the dreaming spires of Oxford is within a short drive. As well as this you are on the edge of the Cotswolds themselves with walking, riding, pubs, beautiful villages and so much to discover...!
