Liverpool was one of the world's busiest ports during the 19th and early 20th centuries, with vast amounts of goods being imported and exported daily. To facilitate trade, the Liverpool Produce Exchange Company was formed, leading to the construction of the Produce Exchange Building in 1868. The building served as a hub where merchants, traders, and brokers would meet to negotiate the buying and selling of commodities. A stunning example of Victorian architecture, designed to reflect the wealth and importance of Liverpool’s trade industry. It featured ornate stonework, grand interiors, and a bustling trading floor where deals were struck.
