The Finer Details

Upon entering the beautifully renovated Oast House, you're immediately welcomed by an inviting open-plan kitchen and lounge area. This charming space creates the perfect setting for both relaxing with friends and family, or work colleagues.

The kitchen, the true heart of the property, boasts a range of elegant features, including a classic Belfast sink and a high ceiling with exposed beams which add warmth and character, while contemporary appliances ensure the space is as functional as it is beautiful. Whether you're whipping up a storm in there, or enjoying a casual meal, you'll have everything you need.

The lounge area flows seamlessly from the kitchen, providing a cosy yet spacious environment for guests to unwind along with a smart TV for entertainment and excellent high speed internet. Thoughtfully furnished with comfortable sofas and stylish decor, fill the room is filled with natural light from the small windows and two doors that open on to the patio area, highlighting the lovingly preserved original features. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge that is suitable for two children or one adult.

On the ground floor, you'll find a stunning circular bedroom created within the original curved Oast walls. This enchanting space with its curved architecture comes to life with gorgeous, colourful wallpaper and interesting features like the 'safe' bedside tables! A cleverly designed section has been cut away to create an unusual shaped en-suite, featuring a striking blue and white floral splashback in the shower that adds a vibrant and refreshing touch. Ample cupboard space ensures convenience without compromising the room's distinctive charm.

Venture upstairs via the open-plan staircase to a landing that provides a wonderful vantage point over the living and kitchen area below. The exposed brickwork and original Oast walls further enhance the rustic charm. This level reveals another spacious double bedroom, where again a section of the curved wall has been repurposed to form a small but functional en-suite. The highlight, however, is the magnificent roll-top bath positioned within the bedroom itself — a stunning and luxurious feature that elevates the room’s character.

Throughout the property, colourful touches and intricate design elements create a vibrant yet welcoming atmosphere. Original farm features, such as a dramatic, high-ceiling ladder running across exposed beams, add a little spectacle.

With its seamless fusion of history and modern living, this extraordinary Oast House is a space where guests can relax, entertain and create lasting memories.

Guests have full access to the The Oast and its enclosed patio area. Two parking spaces are allocated to Oast guests and are directly outside the property. The entrance to the farm and the parking area is shared by the owners and other guests on site. Please do not venture past the parking area, for your own safety, as it is a working farm.

A stunning location

Maidstone

Lenham is a market village situated on the southern edge of the North Downs, in Kent, just 9 miles east of Maidstone. The picturesque square in the centre of the village has two public houses, a couple of restaurants, and a lovely tea-room.

Local attractions include Leeds Castle ('the loveliest castle in the world'), Chilston Park Hotel, a very popular wedding venue, The Lenham Chalk Cross, the nearby village of Pluckley (Darling Buds Country!) and the most haunted village in Kent! there are also plenty of vineyards to visit and of course sample!

Wine connoisseurs will love The Vinorium, which has become the UK's Leading Australian wine specialist. There are a number of specialist shops to browse in the village and you may need to check in advance if there is an exhibition on at the time of your stay, but The Process Gallery is one for the list if there is!

We are also partnered with a local wine tours company who can pick you up from The Manor Pen for free - please ask for more details.

The Farm is on the main A20 that connects the town of Ashford and the County Town of Maidstone. It is just over a mile outside the main village. Lenham has its own railway station, which is walkable but it will take around 40 minutes. There's a bus stop conveniently right outside the farm and its a regular bus route.
